Filippo and others interested in this matter,
I would like to add my 2 cents. Thanks to a very good friend of
mine in NZ (he will recognize himself, THANKS!!!), I was able to get
fresh seeds of D.stenopetala and D.arcturi last year. I distributed
some to my local friends as well as tried to germinate them myself.
Friends reported me mixed results but as for me, I got excellent
results when I sow the seeds onto peat (+ a small addition of sand),
kept the soil wet (the water level was about 7 cm below the soil
surface) and placed the pots to a fridge for 2 months. I did not
count the sowed seeds but now I have many seedlings of both species!
But I feel the key thing will now be to keep them alive.
Regards,
Ivo
