Hi,
For a good description of the amazing carnivorous fungi, see
Lloyd's 'The Carnivorous Plants' it has a chapter on them. I have
witnessed the en-snaring and lasso types while looking for
meiofauna in wet soil samples. They are extraordinary traps with
intricately designed mechanisms.
