My Akai Ryus will not turn all red. They are a dark red at the leaf
margins and leaf base, fading to a middle green stripe that runs the
length of the leaf . The buds are dark red. The inside of the traps are
a deep red, but a green band is left at the outer edge of the trap and the
teeth are green too. The outside of the trap is green and some what
transparent allowing the red coloration from the inside of the trap
to bleed through to the outside of the trap. I've read, and heard that
these plants are suppose to be all red. Nothing but red.
Mine are growing in FULL, DIRECT, hot, Texas sunlight for about 10 hrs a
day. How much sun do they need to turn all red or are they Green
Dragons, or did their mutation regress a little?
