Hi, I have a D. capensis and it started producing these little red
buds on the sides of the stem, there's 4 of them at the moment.
What in the world are they? They don't look anything like leaves.
Can they possibly be roots or flower stalks?

Hi Brian,
These red buds are kind of big roots who grow down to the
soil, some of my old D.capensis are oftenly do this. Flowers stalks
don't look like that, they start of the center of the plants with an hairy
looking form.Hope i'm not wrong and this will help you:)
