Actually, I suspect this plant is the result of a few happy coincidences
of an excellent collection by Dave, and subsequent selection by yours
truly. My girlfriend was making noises last night about wanting to write
this up as a cultivar, but I haven't grown this long enough, or seen
enough plants in the wild, to see if this is really a noteworthy
selection. (Don't forget that, despite popular misconception, cultivars
*can* be described so that seed can be a viable way to propagate plants.
Every gardener who has every bought 'Big Boy' or 'Early Girl' etc tomato
seed packets knows this.
