Subject: Malathion and Sphagnum

Does any one know if Malathion will kill live Sphagnum? Someone recently
asked me and I had to admit I didn't know. I intensly dislike Malathion and
other organophosphates, and hate to reccomend them, so please tell me it
turns sphagnums all black and nasty.... ( and give me something else I can
suggest for thrips on a varied CP collection -- I suggested flea collars --
any ideas?)
