Sounds like we concur more than I originally thought.

Genome taxonomy WILL happen in our lifetime. Observational taxonomy will
die, I hope, quickly after that. And the endless renaming. And the
pedantic discussions of slight characteristic differences.
Perhaps then I can learn taxonomy again, but it'll stay learned !
