Dear all:
This is my first time to drop a mail although I have been growing CPs about ten years. I am a Japanese, very rare in this listserve, I guess , a male age of 36. I am a member of Insectivorous Plants Society(IPS) in Japan.
CPN of September 1999 issue arrived last week. Reading it, I was surprised to find a book review of "Carnivorous Plants" by Kiyoshi Shimizu on . I was astonished again that Mr. Barry Meyers-Rice really has an eye for good photography. Mr. Kiyoshi Shimizu is an eminent botanical photographer, a specialist in macro photos. He is still alive but in serious sick. There is almost no one that surpasses his photographic technique.
The book "Carnivorous Plants" was originally published in Japanese and translated in English later over the supervision of Dr. Komiya, president of IPS.
Best wish,
Yoshiyuki Sodekawa Yokohama, Japan
