Howdy kids! Peter here at California Carnivores...
We just received the shipment of carnivorous plant jigsaw puzzles.
There are three of them: one a closeup of a flytrap plant, another a closeup
of a sundew eating a hapless fly, and the third and best is the photo of D.
slackii that appeared in our book The Savage Garden on page 132. Each one
has 250 pieces. I did the latter puzzle over the Thanksgiving weekend and
had to be committed to an institution for a few days rest! It'll be great
framed. We're selling them for $6.99 each, plus 15% shipping. They'll make a
great holiday gift...for yourself!
Marilee and I are proofing our newly designed website, which should
appear online by next week. (californiacarnivores.com). It will have more
information, photos and plants, and should be updated often so we can list
many of the nepenthes and Sarracenia hybrids that often don't last too long
at the nursery due to retail traffic.
Over the next several weeks added features will appear. By next week, for
example, photos of the puzzles should appear, if you want to take a look at
them.
