closeup of flower

This in 1988 by Speta & Fuchs described species was found in San Luis Postosi, Mexico, for the first time. In the paper of Speta & Fuchs they described as distinctive features to P. moranensis the smaller corolla leaves, the violet coloration and the flater winter rosette with more hairy winter leaves. They also mentioned, that P. moranensis does not has pigmented summer leaves. On my opinion, the statements are not true and there are no significant differences to P. moranensis described in the 'Monograph of the Genus Pinguicula' by J. Casper. Nevertheless, the lovely flower makes that form of P. moranensis worth cultivating.
