I have some silly D. capensis in my collection also. I have had flower
spikes which branch up to 10 times with up to maybe eighty flowers. These
same plants had normal flower spikes on them last year as far as I remember.
I don't know if the seed will produce plants with similar abnormalities but
I have stacks of it. I also had a Cephalotus which had a 12 petaled flower
this year.
