Subject: GENUSTOR + Plant links

First part of email concerns GENUSTOR. Second part is unrelated and
concerns plant links.

At last the web site is fully configured so I can announce that GENUSTOR
is now available for purchase by credit or debit card over the web. The
site is found at http://www.ecologycal.com/index.html

For those not familiar with my rare mails on this topic, very briefly,
GENUSTOR is plant accession tracking software. In other words, you use
GENUSTOR to record details of the plants you have in your own plant
collection. The system was written to allow collection owners to record
details scientifically but in a way hat suits the way we amatures search
for and record names. This means that, using Carnivorous Plants as an
example, you can sub-group similar plants and search for them
accordingly. So now, at last, you can record all your Drosera in one
list but produce/see separate lists of drosera, pymy drosera, South
african drosera, yellow flowered drosera, etc.

For more details of what the software does and most everything else to
do with it, see the web site ( http://www.ecologycal.com/index.html )

My thanks to members of various CP societies who contributed to both the
testing and final content of the software. Note that you can access
the GENUSTOR site via the new ICPS Gift Shop at
http://www.carnivorousplants.org/giftshop/giftshopmain.html#GENUSTOR
and can find other fine gifts nearby.

Slightly off topic but definately plant related:
If you aren't (or even if you ar) interested in GENUSTOR, feel free to
visit another part of the same site but this time at
http://www.ecologycal.com/society.html

This area focuses on links for people who are interested in plants,
either generally or a specialist group (such as CP's). My aim is to
provide the best source of plant links for hobbyists (or
semi-professionals) anywhere on the web, i.e. to be the best portal.
All links are tested and updated regularly. New pages are under
preparation and new links are added when found.

Feel free to recommend the site to others!

Cheers

Paul
(For those going to CA, enjoy - I'm most envious)
