Subject: RE: Aphid problem. Need advice!

Steve,

Orthene is the best multi-purpose systemic insecticide I've found for CP.
I've used it successfully on Sarracenia, Dionaea, Utricularia/Genlisea and
Drosera.
I mix it per the manufacturer's instructions for ornamentals. I've also used
Isotox
(Orthene plus a miticide, I believe) with success, but it has damaged
emerging
pitchers in my limited experience with it. For Drosera, I typically spray
the media,
rather than the leaves themselves. I have also hand-picked aphids and other
nasties
when they're not in too great numbers.

Hope this helps.
