Hi Michael.

I've actually used Cyberseeds and also commuinicated with the owners.

First, when I ordered seeds, the seeds that I ordered were mostly
delivered according to my expectations. However, you are approximately
correct with regard to yor comment on stock. Cyberseeds do not actually
have stock of all the seeds they list. In common with just about every
commercial specialist seed seller in the world, they advertise the stock
that they anticipate will be available. (If they did not do this, then
by the time they could publish what they had received, it would be old
stock!) So, their ability to fulfill an order depends on their
suppliers coming throgh with promised seed supplies. Sometimes this
fails and this is no fault of Cyberseeds, but will upset the customer.

In addition, Cyberseeds have a formal agreement with another excellent
seed specialist called B & T World seeds
http://b-and-t-world-seeds.com/homepage.htm . B & T stock is therefore
listed by Cyberseeds in good faith. However, just as Cyberseeds does
not always receive seed from it's suppliers, B & T also has the same
problem (as do all seed sellers). So sometimes B & T has no choice but
to let down Cyberseeds.

In general, seed sold by Cyberseeds and B & T is fresh seed collected at
the end of the most recent seed season. The two companies work together
making it possible for americans to source from both lists just by going
to Cyberseeds and for europeans to gat the same opportunity just by
going to B & T. However, a European can choose to buy from the American
Cyberseeds just as American's can choose to buy from B & T, though
usually this makes no sense.

As I said, both the above are great. My own favourite is Chiltern
Seeds http://www.edirectory.co.uk/chilternseeds/index.htm because they
guarantee all seed is fresh (unsold seed is discarded each year so all
stock was collected in the most recent seed collection season) and
because they have a catalogue that I find amusing as well as full of
interesting plants. But even as my favouritye, they still suffer the
same problems with failed supplies - it's unavoidable unless you only
sell common species.

Hope this helps.

Regards

Paul
