Here is what makes it most easy to remember. All North American sundews
except D. anglica have 2n = 20 chromosomes. D. anglica is an
allopolyploid, >D. rotundifolia X linearis with a doubled number. This
makes D. anglica 2n = 40. The hybrid form, D. x anglica, has 2n = 20 as
does both parents. That help?
