You can grow nepenthes in terrariums! Those that had responded to you
are probably thinking of lowland neps which does have a tendency to be
fast growers. Have you considered growing highland neps? Some takes
forever to grow like villosa, rajah, ephippiata, macrophylla, etc...
True, you may not see mature pitchers for a few years. Presently, I
grow quite a few highlands in a 60 gal aquarium and i'd figure that it
should take some of the 'faster' growers like N. hamata, n. ramispina,
n. carunculata, etc... at least 5 years before i will have to move them
into a greenhouse (If ever I get to putting one up?!). Hope this helps.
