Subject: barking up the wrong tree?

Those of us that live in redwood country know that getting a redwood
splinter can be a nasty experience. Redwood is toxic and can lead to a bad
infection. Redwood bark is used to mulch acid loving plants like azaleas so
if you need to lower the ph on your plants redwood bark might be the way to
go.On the other hand- I'm getting very protective of our few remaining
redwoods so maybe you should use something else <g>.
