I am not that experienced with Nepenthes seed germination. However, of
the seed that I have had good germination (N. ventricosa and N. * fuskana
*N. rafflesiana), the best growing plants seemed to be from the seed that
had very good contact with the soil. Other growers I know use the same
method of leaving the seed on the surface of the soil. Most of them use a
simple sand/peatmoss mix.
This time around, I'll be trying a number of mixes with the same seeds,
so I'll know what really works for N.ventricosa, at least. I'm particularly
interested in how the seed will do in a nearly pure SiO2 sand mix...
