Yeah, I saw that in our local paper (Tampa Tribune) also. Lake Wales is
about two hours south of Tampa. I hate to say it, but this was a crappy
piece of newspaper reporting. I couldn't tell from the article if this is
a) a new species of Utric, b) a species of Utric new to central south
Florida, or c) a Utric new to the idiot reporter. There were a number of
strange sentences in the article, including the amazing facts that leaves
grow up from the stalk and roots grow down, and that the amazing flower
appears above ground even though it self pollinates. So, all you
Utric'ophiles may want to wait a few days before you offer big bucks for a
new pet. On the other hand, if ya' got really deep pockets - I will see if
I can get you this new cheeseburger loving monster :)
