Subject: Sundew Interspecies Hybrid List

Hi CPers, Ivan here,

Following is a list of Drosera hybrids which have been made (that I know
of) and their creators. Note that these are hybrids that have reached
maturity. All are sterile unless otherwise noted. This I have put
together with help from Dr. Michiaki Mabuchi in Japan, Nigel Hurneyman in
the UK, Sean Samia and myself in California. There are surely other
hybrids we have neglected to list. Please let us know if you have any
additions or corrections.

Natural Pygmy Hybrids according to Lowrie:
Nitidula ssp Allantostigma x Ericksoniae
Nitidula ssp Nitidula x Ericksoniae
Nitidula ssp Nitidula x Occidentalis ssp ? x'Carbarup'
Nitidula ssp Nitidula x Pygmaea 'WA South Coast'

Other Hybrids where the species (but not necessarily the subspecies) of
both parents is known:

I believe the non-Lowrie hybrids were made at Reading University, although
I haven't been able to get any corroboration from them. The exception is
dichrosepala x roseana which was made by either Jan Flisek or Kamil
Pasek.
