Subject: course mediums

  Hi All,

Has anyone had luck in locating sources for soil mediums that are not
available in their area? I am talking about course perlite, vermerculite(I
only see "horticultural grade" around here) and pumice. I have never seen
pumice other in a grocer stores as the product, "Lady's Aide", which would
not be cost effective, not to mention it's one big piece.
It seems to me that a lot of people use identical mediums, but the results
are different. The growing conditions must be different, and I guess I am
looking for a simple, consistant mix for Nepenthes that will work for me.
