Your plant may be getting too much light. I know that sounds strange for
a CP but I suspect this plant does better under lower light conditions.
Also you may have the water level too high. Again this sounds strange
for a plant that grows in Bromeliad urns but I suspect that until
established this species is quite prone to rotting. I would reduce the
water level so the plant is just sitting in water.

Without wishing to discourage you, this is not an easy plant to grow. It
seems to thrive in certain situations but goes into rapid decline in
apparently identical conditions elsewhere.

After many failed attempts to grow it I now have the plant growing well
under sodium lighting.
