Your setup should work fine. Mine grow in long fiber sphagnum moss. Smaller
hamatas have razor thin leaves, and they need very high humidity all the
time. They dehydrate quickly if the humidity drops, even if for a vrey shotr
time. The leaves get a little thicker as the plants appoach 6 " in diameter,
and humidity fluxes become less of a problem. I grow mine in wide pots so
that the entire plant can rest its leaves and pitchers on a bed of sphagnum.
This seems to help keep the local humidity around the leaves and pitchers
high, which they seem to like.
