The little buggers have now grown up and are clearly not
_D. aliciae_. Instead, I thought they were _D. capensis_.
Now I'm having second thoughts. These plants differ from
my other forms of _D. capensis_ in that they have very long
internode distances (about 1 cm between leaves). The plants
also have a more yellowish cast to the foliage. The leaves
are very similiar to _D. capensis_ 'narrow leaf', but with
a shorter glandular section. These plants also produce the
same adventitious red roots from the side of the stem that
are common with _D. capensis_, but have much reduced stipules
compared to other forms that I grow. I don't think these plants
are starved for light, as they are growing side by side with other
_D. capensis_ that are short and stocky.
I guess I'll have to wait for flowers, but does this sound
like it might be anything other than _D. capensis_ 'lanky form'?
:-)
