of Darlingtonia and Sarracenia...

This is my first posting too - I will try to get round to an introduction of
myself when I have time. I have a small collection of CPs, mainly grown from
seed over the past 3 years. Seed was from Chiltern Seeds in th U.K.

Regarding Sarracenia, I have read both Slack's book and the instructions
on Chiltern's packet (one year mixed species, the next leucophylla). I
sowed on the surface of wet peat (maybe with Perlite, maybe with grit, I
shouldn't think it matters), left at room temperature for a day, then 2
weeks in the fridge, two in the freezer compartment, two in the fridge
again, then out into my cool greenhouse in a water tray. With both
batches, good germination occurred after 3 to 4 months from the original
sowing. The 'mixed species' are still doing well after 3 years, the
tallest now having pitchers about a foot (30cm) high, and there are also
some making a low rosette (psittacina?). The 'leucophylla' are only a
year old and still small - I lost a couple to botryris this winter.

I treated my Darlingtonia seeds the same, but so far no luck, so I can't offer
much advice there.
