Doug, most orchid roots are quite thick compared with many plants and the
ones that are currently growing usually have a greenish pointed tip. You
should be OK for the moment keeping it in sphagnum - but don't let the sphag
get wet and don't pack it down. Give the plant a bit of a misting over it for
the moment (every morning if it looks very dry - they normally can tolerate
the occasional dry-spell). I'll try to find out any info I can about this
plant ASAP - but I can't promise anything...
