The Australia Native Orchid book I covers another subspecies (pulchella),
but covers the general genus also. The above info is basically the same as
mine. The info I have on the Oeneoclades genus is:
Terrestrial orchids with long slender pseudobulbs which
characteristically extend well above ground level. 1-3 stalked,
terminal leaves which may be deciduous or evergreen. Habitats
range from shady rainforest to open situations. New leaf-bearing
shoots are produced during the wet season and flower during winter.
Plants require well-drained, humus-rich mixture, partial shade and
plenty of water when in active growth. In temperate regions a
heated glasshouse is necessary (minimum temperature 5-8C).
Your species, maculata, wasn't covered, but it is likely to respond to these
conditions - it probably has spotted flowers judging by the botanic name. You
may want to add leaf litter (I think oak leaves are best) to the mix you use.
