Doug, it has also been my observation that N. maxima is particularly
sensitive to heat. It was the ONLY Nepenthes sp. I lost when I moved
from CT to AZ. It was also the first to go when I tried moving my CP
from an air-conditioned greenhouse to my apartment. Bummer, as N. maxima
is probably my favorite Nepenthes sp. I've grown. At least its been spread
around so we probably won't loose it from cultivation. Did you get yours
from me (directly or indirectly)? I seem to recall it was male, and I
wonder if any females are bumping around out there?
