Has anyone else noticed that N. Alata seems to form a lidless intermediate
pitcher? I bought a few of these from Peter D'Amato and every one has
formed an identical pitcher. The plant will begin by produce smaller, rather
narrow pitchers and then produce a fatter lidless pitcher. After the lidless
pitcher is produced, much larger pitchers (lidded) will be produced.
I've seen this on 3 seperate plants. Has anyone else observed this or is
it truly a coincidence?
