D. villosa question

I've had a D. villosa plant for a year or so now.
It's of a reasonable size, but it's still green,
not bright red like I've seen in photos.. The glands
are minimally dewey, and the leaves are semi-decumbant.
Is this the norm? I've tried several environments,
and currently it's in my office under flourescent
lights and diffused sunlight. Temps are proably in
the mid to high 70's (F). Comments on growing this
plant would be appreciated.
