FEEDING UTRICS

I am currently growing only one species of Utricularia : U Purpurea. It is
growing quite well, but I figured I should get some "prey" for it to eat. I've
read that the main food for utrics is Daphnia ("water fleas"); unfortunately,
none of the aquarium/pet stores in town have live Daphnia. Since the plant is
growing well, should I bother worrying about its lack of food? Are there
alternatives to Daphnia? Or sources for live Daphina?
Actually, I am intersted in Daphnia not only as utric food, but also to help
eat the algae that's starting to grow in the container.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
