Are some Dionaea more red than others? I collected seed from my
'not very red' plant, and got 'not very red' seedlings, whereas
seed from a different source (Chiltern Seeds) has produced seedlings
that are intense red inside the traps - it can't be the growing
conditions as both are treated the same. It's a slow business - the
largest traps are only just reaching a decent size (0.5 inch/12 mm)
after 3 years.
