Drosera prolifera cultivation

Hello cp growers,

I recently acquired a Drosera prolifera at a cp society meeting (BACPS).
It has grown 2 new leaves; but they, and the older leaves, are dry (no
dew). Sphagnum, and other, moss is growing well in the pot. Temperature
is currently around 21C day, 18C night. I thought I had the plant in a
very low light area. However, it seems to get some strong light in the
afternoon during the winter. It's far back from a South-facing window -
outside the door of the room. Still, the low winter sun makes it bright
back there after noon. Questions:

1. Has anybody measured a good light level to grow the plants well? If
so, what level, in foot-candles, would be good to try?

2. What is a good temperature for the plant?

3. Should the water level in the tray be kept pretty high or allowed to
drop between waterings?

On another subject: anybody interested in some Drosera capensis (- giant
form) seed? Let me know.

Gary
