I have grown some Proboscidea louisianica for the last two years; first year
from Thompson + Morgan seed, second from my own. They're pretty easy, even in
England where I was then. They are covered in sticky hairs, and smell a little
unpleasant. I never saw any insects get stuck however, despite a whitefly
plague in the greenhouse that year :( They are attractive enough though, and
the seed pods are quite interesting. I will grow more!
