Yes, as far as the "J" is concerned, it is pronounced like the "y" in "yes".
The "a" is not so easy to describe because there are no uniform
pronounciation rules for the English language (and I can not send phonetic
symbols via email):

Rather like the "u" in (the most common version of) "fun".
But feel free to pronounce my name just as you like.
