This brings up a good point, which I've hesitated to
mention until reading the above.

Recently there has been a lot of CP listerserver traffic
mentioning interest in purchasing this book, or that
monograph. In my opinion, only the first mention of
the offer for sale should appear publicly. Responses
including VISA numbers, proper mailing addresses, or
even "thanks, I got the check" should be addressed
between the transacting parties only (not on the
CP listserver).

There are many threads of discussion on the CP
listserver that, frankly, I'm not terribly interested
in but which contain valuable information about
CP cultivation. Fine. Not every subscriber is
interested in the same plants, indeed for some it
is a hobby and for others it is a serious science.
No one, I think, except the transacting parties,
is interested in reading material which applies
specifically to the transaction even if the
transaction involves plant material.

I applaud Don Burden for organizing the complicated
CP order from the German growers yet not using up
a lot of CP listerver bandwidth. The first few notices
of the group order appeared on the CP listserver so everyone
could read them and have the chance to participate. Since
then, Don has addressed most of the updates to the
participants only. The exception occurs when there is
trouble reaching a participant directly (bad e-mail
address, etc.)

Of course this is my opinion. Other's may disagree.
I hope this thread doesn't use up too much
CP listserver bandwidth :)
