Nope, the coloration doesn't look like a "tribal tattoo" (you might
look to the patterns on _Calathea_ for that :-)
The pitchers are green, with red coloration forming a reticulated
pattern which looks like veins (I wonder if these "veins" correspond
to the patterns of the vascular traces in the leaf -- that is, the
plant's own "veins"?)
