I am fairly new to CP's and so I don't know if this will be a new idea to
anyone or not, but I place live sphagnum in the water that my CP's are
sitting in. This seems to keep the algae out and I haven't noticed any
problems with stagnant water (I seem to remember reading something about
sphagnum having certain antibiotic properties as well and think that this
might be benificial to the plants). Anyway my plants seem happy and I guess
that's what's important.
