Nep's

I recently received a few Nep's about which I have been worried
lately. I have a N.gracilis which is putting out healthy leaves, no
pitchers. Then there's the N.trichocarpa which is putting out abundant
leaves and ample pitchers; the bottom three leaves are all brown, as
well as the bottom 6cm or so of the stem. I can't remember if the brown
on the stem was there before or not. Both these plants are less than 20
cm tall and growing under lights (one of those fluorescent/incandescent
setups)in a very humid indoor greenhouse with a 20-30C (68-86F) day-night
temperature range.
Is the N.gracilis in too warm an environment (not to worry if it
is, the adjoining room in the greenhouse is kept at lower temps). Is
the browning in the N.trich. indicative of ROT? In advance, thanx.
