Dio,

If the plant still is still green, and the hairs are
present, the plant shouldn't be dead.I wouldn't cut it off
until the foilage appears completely dead, ie, black.
Boosting the humidity may help to bring the sticky dew drops
back. Also, even if you do "fiddle" with your plant, it
won't move without the presence of a constantly struggling
insect. Hope this helps,
