I AM going (leaving the 17th coming back on Nov 3-5(might camp at mt.
Abloran, dunno yet)) Yes I am very excited and cant wait, I am travelling
with other plant lovers who enjoy orchids, hoyas, and such. I managed to
pique an aquintence's interest about Nepenthes and he's the one coordinating
the trip. Well anyway, that sounds exciting, no wonder I haven't heard a
thing about N. deaniana except its listing is in several checklists. Can
you tell what to look for? Just what is it? Could it be a hybird? I will try
my best and Im currently getting applications for importation of Nepenthes
and we should be able to get CITES permits.
only interest are the lowland Nepenthes in the ventricosa complex, New
truncata and merilliana clones and perhaps the oddball looking mirabilis and
alata types. From what I gather globamphora, ventricosa, and burkei's
status is distorted, one source said globamphora is a hybird and they all
look very close.

Would you please? time is short as Im leaving soon, but I promise you I'll
try my best for any info, we'll have two free days on Palawan and mountain
bikes are available (supposedly) and I might drag along a few people for
company and go riding around PP, perhaps to the Iwahig Prison.

Sincerely,
