Two years ago I visited Australia and spent a week with Allen
Lowrie in W.A. During this week, Allen took me to see wild Cephalotus
near Albany. At the time he told me that there was no reason for
Cephalotus to be on ANY endangered lists or CITES. Though it does not
grow in a very large area, he said they were locally VERY abundant. To me
Allen only mentioned one CP which was theatened in W.A. It was a pygmy
sundew, but I can't remember which one now. It grew in a small area north
of Perth and he said it had lost lots of habitat. Maybe it was
D.echinoblastus.
