There is a simpler way to germinate Drosophyllum seed without using GA3.
Try soaking the seeds in distilled water for 24 hours or so. Michael
Chamberland suggested this to me once. It reduced the length until
germination down to 3 -4 weeks.

Those of you using 500ppm GA3 are probably wasting money. That is an
enormously high concentration. I've had very good results with a 24
hour soak in 1mg/L (1ppm) with D. spathulata. This soak reduced the
germination time to two weeks. The control still hasn't germinated
after 6 weeks.
