The recipe for the dishwashing liquid vegetable oil insecticide that
folks were asking about in cp digest 615 is as follows

to make the STOCK solution NOT TO BE SPRAYED ON PLANTS 1 cup of
vegetable oil 1 tablespoon lemon scented dishwashing liquid of the sort
used to wash by hand NOT the dishwasher machine liquid.

place both together in a screw top jar with lid and shake thoroughly to
mix. Store in the bottom of the fridge.

The insecticide is made as follows take EITHER 1 or 2 teaspoons of the
stock solution per cup of water in your spray bottle, shake frequently
and saturate the foliage all sides till it runs off the plant. Repeat
as needed in weekly to every 10 days intervals.

I use the 1 teaspoon strength on all Drosera, Pinguicula and Utricularia
with out damage to the plants.
The 2 teaspoon strength can be used on Nepenthes, Sarracenia,
Heliamphora, Dionaea, Most Drosera, some Pinguicula without damage.

It works by suffocation of the insect and killing of the eggs. It DOES
NOT prevent re-infestation and does kill all insects. If you want to
juice it up a bit, you can add some malathion, orthene or
dimethoate(sygon) in the weakest recomended dose as a systemic. If you
do this remember to alternate the chemicals that you use or in a very
short time you could face immunity problems in the insects that you are
trying to control.
Also, a q-tip helps immensly when you physically remove the insects on
the foliage. If you actually remove the bugs you will be able to tell if
they re-infest.
Good luck and Good growing
