Whitefly and other insect control

I have had good success controling swhiteflys, mealybugs, aphids etc. with
stuff called systemic houseplant insecticide available at most garden supply
shops. The bran I have use is made by Dexol. One sprinkles the powder on
the soil and waters the plant. The insecticide is adsorbed through the
roots. Anything that eats the plant dies. One dose is supposed to be
good for six weeks, so there is some protection against re-infestation.

A spray that works very well, but is harder to get is Orthene soluable
powder. Do not use the oil based liquid.

Good Luck with the beasties.
