As long as the rhizome underground is still white and firm
you're ok, as the plants may just be going dormant due to
stress, or the old leaves may be dieing due to change in
environment. What kind of water are you using? Since you only
have two plants right now it's probably cheap enough to be worth
your while to buy a gallone of *distilled*, water (not mineral
water) and try that. Your growing conditions sound fine, but if
it's cold in your area the plants may stay dormant for a bit
longer, particularly if they've changed environments recently.

Now is the time to repot, before the become active again. Try
not to disturb the roots too much when you repot. Repot in
either a 50/50 mix of peat/perlite, or just straight peat, but I
prefer the lighter mix. Use a decent Canadian spaghnum peat
moss. It should look brown and fibrous when dry. If it looks
rich and yummy out of the bag, it's probably too much for your
plants :-). I soak my mix overnight to ensure it's damp
throughout.

You can try turning boxes over in the backyard or garage and
look for beetles. Watch out for spiders though.
