Hello Fellow CP Fanatics!

It is truly exciting to be a subscriber to this list! I have had a =
fascination with these extraordinary plants for some time (almost 35 =
years!) and have been growing them for most of this time (with, until =
recently, moderate success). Until last year, I was totally unaware of =
the "new" sources of information such as the ICPS and, now, this list. I =
often wondered why more people were not interested in these amazing =
"creatures .... little did I know!

Currently, I have the following plants in my collection:
A number of pots of Dionaea (most saved from a local Dept. store nursery =
that was throwing them out(!))
Some Pygmy Drosera plants that am I still trying to identify
Drosera capensis (Huge potful!), Drosera rotundifolia, D. intermedia, D. =
filiformis, D. binata, D. binata dichotoma, Sarracenia flava. S. flava =
"Burgundy", S. readii, S. leucophylla, S. psittacina, S. purpurea (both =
purpurea & venosa), Darlingtonia californica, and four different =
varieties of Pinguicula - all growing quite well (all, with the =
exception of the pygmies, growing outside).

I am most interested in the many different forms of Sarracenia. I am =
also interested in learning more about (as well as trying to grow) a =
couple of hardy forms of Nepenthes.

I have lived in California, Nevada, Hawaii & Florida. My fondest dream =
is to have the opportunity to actually see some of these wonderful plant =
growing in the wild - something I fear may never happen if the current =
state of disappearing locations does not stop!

I would appreciate hearing from anyone who has "over-stock" in any of =
the Sarracenia, Nepenthes or even long-leafed Drosera varieties. Trades =
are possible!=20

Rick, keep up the excellent work in getting the word our about these =
incredible wonders!
