Scott,
This is an excellent time to go the the Green Swamp! If your
friend is lucky, the Sarrs will be in bloom. TNC owns the swamp
and this time of year they have volunteers lead tours
specifically to look at CPs and orchids. You might want to call
to find out more. An experienced CPer might get bored with a tour
but considering that it's a 15000 acre preserve it is easy enough
to spend a day there without seeing any CPs if you don't know
what you're looking for. You can contact the North Carolina NC at
(919) 403-8558.

Any Raleigh, NC-area CPers interested in a group trip to Weymouth
Woods and/or the Green Swamp next month should get in touch with
me; I'll try to organize a group trip.
