I second that recommendation! Yesterday I received my copy, and
am thoroughly pleased with it. And, having been to Kinabalu
Park recently, I appreciated the location information the book
provides. Armed with this information and a guide, I expect
to be able to see these plants when I return.
One particularly interesting hybrid is N. rajah x N. burbidgeae,
which is featured toward the end of the book. Magnificent!
I understand from the publisher that this is the first book in
a series of 3,and the next one will come out in 1997. I understand
that a certain Dr. Clark from Australia, and some of his associates,
have been tromping around Borneo and photographing lots of
Nepenthes. This is for an upcoming book, and I wonder if it's
part of the series.
The publishers should extend commissions to internet endorsements!
