I want to put this whole CITES thing to rest, but am either too
stupid or too stubborn to. What I would like to propose is a
comprehensive guide to obtaining proper permits and documentation for
importing/exporting CITES listed CP's from whatever country you may have
experience with. I still feel that the main problem people have with
CITES is not that it trys to protect our beloved plants, but that finding
out how to obtain permits ends up being a royal pain in the butt! If
everyone or anyone who has experience with obtaining permits, etc. would
e-mail me the information on how others can obtain these permits, I would
be willing to compile all of this and post it in the CP FAQ. I do
realize that CITES is always changing, so I would try my best to maintain
the information on this subject. My goal is to make trading the plants
we desire fun, not a chore. So go ahead and bombard me with all the
information you have. I will assure you that your name will not be
revealed publically, unless desired so (some people just want to remain
anonymous). Any comments or criticisms, please direct them towards me,
no point cluttering up the newsgroup. I'm not doing this for any other
reason than to make things easier for all of us. Thanks in advance.
